Thermodynamic Model of Gas Turbine
Modeling
Using fundamental thermodynamic principles, my group created a parametric computer model of an idealized gas turbine. The model was created in MATLAB and it calculated various parameters for all the stages of a gas turbine’s operational cycles: inlet, low pressure compressor, high pressure compressor, combustor, high pressure turbine, and low pressure turbine, and exhaust.

During this project I learned more of MATLAB’s capabilities, including MATLAB’s symbolic integration. In addition, I learned a good deal about a gas turbine’s thermodynamic stages.
